If you already own a lot or parcel of land in the Charlotte or Greenville-Spartanburg area, Red Cedar Homes can build a quality, ENERGY STAR certified home on your property. Our Build on Your Lot program gives you the flexibility to choose from our proven floorplan library — or work with our design team to customize a plan that fits your land and your lifestyle.

How It Works

The process begins with a site evaluation. Our team reviews your lot for buildability factors including topography, setbacks, utility access, soil conditions, and any deed restrictions or HOA covenants. This evaluation is complimentary and typically completed within two weeks of your initial inquiry.

Once we confirm your lot is buildable, you’ll select a floorplan from our portfolio and work with our design consultant to make any desired modifications. We provide a fixed-price construction contract so you know exactly what your home will cost before we break ground.

From there, Red Cedar manages the entire construction process: permitting, foundation, framing, mechanicals, finishes, and final inspections. You’ll have a dedicated project manager and access to regular progress updates throughout the build.

To get started, provide your lot address or parcel ID, a copy of your deed or plat (if available), and any HOA or architectural review requirements. Our team handles everything else.
